Tesollo, a South Korean maker of robot hands, said on the 14th that cumulative sales of its robot hands and multi-jointed grippers will exceed 1,000 units this year. The company develops and manufactures multi-jointed robot hands and grippers used in industrial automation, humanoid robots, robotics research and physical AI.
The growth in its customer base follows expanding markets for humanoids and physical AI, along with rising interest in multi-jointed robot hands that can manipulate a variety of objects with the precision of a human hand. Tesollo has built a product lineup of multi-jointed grippers and robot hands ranging from one to five digits, supplying manufacturing automation, logistics, research and development, AI training and humanoid applications. Some products have moved beyond research and pilot stages into actual manufacturing sites.
Tesollo has raised funding from investment firms including Samsung Venture Investment and POSCO Technology Investment, as well as from HL Mando and Daesung Hi-Tech. The aim is to tap each company's manufacturing, mass-production, mobility and business capabilities to drive growth. The company has selected KB Securities as its listing underwriter and is in the process of pursuing a technology-based special listing.
"Robot hands cannot grow into an industry through technology development alone. A company must be able to repeatedly produce products of the same quality in a stable manner and supply them continuously to actual customers," Tesollo CEO Kim Young-jin said. "We will expand substantive cooperation with our industry shareholders and partners, strengthen our mass-production competitiveness and global business foundation, and prepare for the company's next stage of growth alongside the growth of the robot hand market."
