Social media rips Lincoln Riley following USC’s loss to Wisconsin

On Saturday evening, the USC football team suffered an embarrassing 24-7 road loss to Wisconsin. With the defeat, the Trojans dropped to 6-2 on the year and 3-2 in Big Ten play.

Following the loss, social media was full of criticism for USC head coach Lincoln Riley. Here are some of the highlights:

Nothing left to defend

If you are someone who is defending Lincoln Riley still, I’m just going to assume you’re a Notre Dame, Oregon, or ucLa fan

It’s year five

Every time Bob Chesney wins a game at UCLA, the pressure mounts on Lincoln Riley at USC.

Curt Cignetti won a national championship at INDIANA in two years. Chesney is 7-0 in year one after the Bruins won just three games last season.

Riley is in year five at USC. Times up …

What would you say you do here?

lincoln riley if our offense is bad, what is your purpose at usc

No coming back

I have no idea how Lincoln Riley comes back from this.

At this point, it’s a question of when, not if, the Trojans move on.

A rival perspective

EXTEND LINCOLN RILEY ✌️✌️

He needs to go

USC should fire Lincoln Riley, full stop.

I remain skeptical that they will (because of the buyout), but it’s what should happen short of winning out (which I don’t think is possible, because I eyes).

Five years in and this team is so very far from contending.

No excuses

At least you understood Clay Helton’s teams getting beat. No excuses off a bye for USC to be this bad under Lincoln Riley.
