Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien) was left heartbroken in Wednesday's (21st October 2026) edition of Coronation Street, but little does she know that even more turmoil is inevitable.
Given she's just been found not guilty of Theo Silverton's (James Cartwright) murder, Sarah should have been able to look to the future at last.
But ex-boyfriend Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) has made it clear he won't resume their relationship after Sarah dumped him while she was on remand in order to protect his police career.
She was still hoping to turn the situation around though, as seen when Sarah contemplated texting Kit asking to talk.
Meanwhile, Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) is pregnant with Kit's baby after the pair had a one-off fling while Sarah was behind bars!
Bethany was on the verge of telling Kit that she is carrying his child, but ultimately changed her mind.
Sarah is aware of Bethany's condition, but not about Kit's involvement, and as she expressed excitement about being a grandmother, Bethany revealed that she had already booked a termination.
Sitting down for a heart-to-heart, Sarah assumed the baby is Ryan Connor's (Ryan Prescott) and encouraged Bethany to at least put him in the picture.
Bethany eventually admitted that although she had always said she didn't want kids, she wasn't entirely sure what she wanted either way.
Kit then arrived to collect some more things and, spotting a tearful Bethany, quizzed her on what was wrong.

Unable to cope with what she and Kit had done behind her mum's back, Bethany left to get some air.
Sarah found her in Victoria Gardens, where she reflected on becoming pregnant with her at the age of 12 and told Bethany how motherhood was a gift.
At the café, Sarah spoke with Kit's mum Bernie Winter-Alahan (Jane Hazlegrove), who explained she had just had confirmation that she carried the BRCA gene.
But Bernie was determined to focus on Kit, who has been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer, and his older sister Gemma Winter-Brown (Dolly-Rose Campbell) who was awaiting her own test results regarding the gene.
Sarah told her she regretted ending things with Kit, and Bernie replied that she believed Kit still loved Sarah.
This spurred Sarah on to visit Kit, where she announced that she still loved him and asked if he felt the same.
Kit explained that it didn't matter whether he loved her, as he had slept with someone else.
Sarah failed to get any more answers until she spoke to Bethany, who told her Kit had dated Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances Brown).
Now, Sarah truly believed there was no going back for her and Kit, but she seemed under the impression that Bethany was going to have her baby and that gave her something positive to focus on.
But is Bethany really set on going ahead with her pregnancy? And how will Sarah feel when she finds out who the daddy is?
