Welcome to Week 6 of GametimeCT's boys soccer power rankings. This week, Class M is making its rise.
No. 9 Waterford and No. 10 Weston both make their Top 10 debuts, with both hailing from Class M. There are now three Class M teams in the Top 10, six from Class LL and one from Class L.
Staples is still the clear No. 1 team in the state, but Xavier now sits at No. 2 after rising one spot following a 2-0 week. This will be a challenging week for Xavier, with rematches against Hand and Notre Dame-West Haven.
Tolland falls to No. 3 after a loss to East Hartford last week, kicking off three straight CCC teams in the Top 10. Glastonbury is No. 4 and South Windsor is No. 5. The two teams played last week, and Glastonbury emerged victorious 2-1.
Greenwich falls two spots for the second straight week to No. 6 after a tie against Stamford and a loss to Danbury. Stamford remains at No. 7 following its tie against Greenwich, and could arguably be above Greenwich after it tied Staples last week.
New Milford moves up to No. 8, even though a 1-1 tie against Bethel tarnished its perfect record.
