A revamped golfing paradise for members of the Texas A&M Aggies golf team, with high-end technology and a posh lounge, is coming to the College Station area.
According to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, a new project was filed by Texas A&M University on Wednesday to upgrade the 4,275-square-foot facility located in the center of Traditions Golf Club and next to Lake Atlas in Bryan. The upgrades to the Wahlberg Aggie Golf Learning Center-named after Paul Wahlberg, a 1950 A&M graduate and longtime supporter of Aggie golf-are slated to cost $3.3 million. Construction began in March. According to the filing, construction is expected to be complete by January 2027.
Houston-based firm PBK Architects is overseeing construction alongside the university.
"The Golf Learning Center is a home for A&M's golfers who will be able to work on every phase of their game, meet with coaches, study, socialize with teammates and relax all in one place," reads a statement from PBK on the project website.

The upgraded facility will feature the newest and most innovative putting and swing technology for the Aggies women's and men's golf teams, allowing golfers to use their improved skills in a golf range shared by the Traditions Golf Club community.
Other upgrades include new spaces for golfers to train, team meeting rooms, study areas and a lounge, with room to relax after playing 18 holes. However, one of the biggest opportunities is modernizing a space that has served its golf teams since 2003, as the facility serves as a major recruiting tool to bring top golfers in the state and the country to Texas A&M.
"PBK met with coaches and members of the Athletic Department in order to understand and document the program for the required spaces and create an attractive and enhanced space suited for golfers, coaches, trainers, and supplemental staff," reads a website statement from PBK about the project.
Both the men's and women's teams have achieved ultimate success. Adéla Cernousek won the individual NCAA Women's Championship in 2024, and the Aggies men's team won the national team title in 2009. Combined, the two teams have won 15 conference titles.
