The Arizona Cardinals take on the Denver Broncos this Sunday at home. Being in different conferences, they are not frequent opponents. They have faced each other only 12 times ever, dating back to 1973.
The Cardinals have only beaten the Broncos once ever.
The Broncos are 10-1-1 all-time against the Cardinals. The one tie came in their first-ever meeting in 1973. The Cardinals' only win came in 2010, when kicker Jay Feely kicked five field goals and scored a touchdown in a 43-13 win, beating the Kyle Orton-led Broncos. They intercepted Orton three times.
But that is the only time in their history that the Cardinals beat the Broncos.
The Broncos have beaten them in three straight meetings since then.
- 2014 - Broncos 41, Cardinals 10: Peyton Manning threw four touchdown passes, while Cardinals starter Drew Stanton, playing in place of an injured Carson Palmer, had only 118 passing yards.
- 2018 - Broncos 45, Cardinals 10: This game in 2018 got offensive coordinator Mike McCoy fired. Rookie quarterback Josh Rosen was picked off three times and one was a pick-six to start the game.
- 2022 - Broncos 25, Cardinals 14: Colt McCoy started the game and got hurt. Between him and Trace McSorley, they had three interceptions.
Can the Cardinals end the streak and beat the Broncos for the first time in 16 years?
