- Octopizzo raised eyebrows during a Homeboyz Radio interview after making a pointed remark that many fans linked to Khaligraph Jones
- Khaligraph has recently shown off a noticeably slimmer physique, drawing both admiration and criticism from Kenyans online
- The two rappers have a long history of public beef, trading disses through music over the years
Veteran Nairobi rapper Octopizzo appears to have taken a subtle dig at Khaligraph Jones during a recent radio appearance, and the clip has been making the rounds online.
The moment came during a studio interview at Homeboyz Radio, Nairobi's 103.5 FM, which bills itself as "The Urban Sound of Nairobi."
Octopizzo dropped what many listeners are reading as a thinly veiled reference to his longtime rival's dramatic body transformation, with the segment accompanied by an inserted image referencing the weight-loss drug Ozempic.
Khaligraph Jones has been turning heads in recent months after revealing a noticeably slimmer physique.
The OG rapper has been sharing his new look publicly, and while a section of fans have applauded the results, others have been more sceptical, with some openly asking him to return to his previously bulkier frame.
The transformation has kept Khaligraph in the conversation on social media, though not always for the reasons he might prefer.
Into that charged atmosphere, Octopizzo's radio comments landed like a well-placed punchline.
Without naming anyone directly, the Kibera-born rapper's remarks were pointed enough that listeners immediately made the connection.
A long-running hip-hop rivalry
The two are no strangers to conflict. Octopizzo and Khaligraph have been considered hip-hop nemeses for years, having publicly traded lyrical jabs through diss tracks that reignited debates about who holds the crown in Kenyan rap.
Their back-and-forth has been one of the most talked-about rivalries in the local music scene, giving this latest moment extra context for longtime fans.
Whether Octopizzo intended the remark as a direct shot or simply a passing comment remains open to interpretation, but the timing and the Ozempic reference left little to the imagination for most viewers.
