You are on zero hours sleep, the baby has barely arrived, and you feel like you have spent a small fortune on newborn equipment. Now, there is a £66.50 passport fee to pay before a first family holiday can even be planned. easyJet holidays has launched a new scheme to soften that cost by discounting package holidays, but the small print matters.
What easyJet is offering
easyJet and easyJet holidays have pledged to cover the cost of a child’s UK passport when parents book an easyJet holiday. GOV.UK confirms that applying online costs £66.50.
It is a discount rather than a cash refund. The saving applies to selected package holidays, and families claim it with the promotional code FIRSTPASSPORT when booking through easyJet holidays. There is no minimum spend, but only one discount is allowed per booking.
Key dates and eligibility
The offer covers bookings made between October 22 and November 26 2026, and each promo code applies to one child up to 18 months old. Eligible holidays must be completed by October 31 2028, so there is plenty of time to plan a trip around those important nap schedules.
Why the airline is doing it
easyJet says the number of infants travelling with easyJet holidays has risen 10% this year compared with the whole of 2025. Its own research points to genuine confusion among new parents: 9% did not realise their baby needed a separate passport until they began planning a holiday. Almost a quarter needed up to six attempts to get an acceptable passport photograph.
Money is clearly a factor too. Three-quarters of parents surveyed said covering the passport cost would make a holiday with a baby feel more affordable.
What it means for travellers
Because the saving comes off the holiday price, expect to pay the passport fee yourself first and benefit when you book. Flight-only travellers will not qualify, so this suits families already looking at a package.
Apply online if you can. GOV.UK lists the fee at £66.50 online against £80 for a paper form, so the discount covers the online price in full but leaves a £13.50 gap if you go the paper route. Online applications also involve someone confirming your child’s identity digitally, rather than signing a printed photo.
Check the terms on easyJet’s website before you book, as the offer is limited to selected holidays and one child per booking.
