Government has introduced a new communication policy requiring ministries, departments, agencies and local governments to coordinate public information, improve access to government programmes and measure whether citizens understand the messages they receive.
The National Communication Policy 2026, adopted by Cabinet on March 9, seeks to address fragmented government messaging, misinformation and delays in providing information to the public.
