You can always find Jimin in places you least expect.
BTS member Jimin has gotten tied up with the ongoing general election in Brazil, and netizens can’t decide how to react to it.
This unexpected affair stemmed from something the idol said during his birthday livestream. Jimin celebrated his birthday with fans through a Weverse livestream on October 13, during which he showed off the “13” tattoo on his arm, talking about how it is a really good number.

A Brazilian fanpage reposted the clip on X (formerly Twitter) and jokingly called Jimin “comrade,” since 13 is the official ballot number of the ruling Workers’ Party in the country. The official X account of the current president of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, ended up responding to the post, thanking Jimin.
Obrigado! Nossa missão é ganhar a eleição para defender o Brasil 🫰🏾🫰🏼

This unexpected crossover ended up receiving a massively divided response online. While some were upset that Jimin was getting dragged into political discourses without him intending to, many Brazilian fans took it as a funny and witty reference made by their current President.
bruh why do they have to make his special number a political thing https://t.co/fZCyiXrWwG

Idk anything about Brazilian politics but this is extremely weird kpop idols already don't speak about their own politics then you're trying to use an artist from that industry to promote your agenda #tf https://t.co/GAxI93mWGL
