President John Dramani Mahama has said the government is working to translate macroeconomic stability into increased production, higher incomes and sustainable employment.
The President said this after he broke ground for the 1,238-acre Afienya Industrial Park, marking a step towards expanding Ghana’s industrial capacity, attracting private-sector investment and creating jobs.
The eco-friendly industrial hub is designed to accommodate more than 120 enterprises across key sectors, including automotive assembly, textiles, pharmaceuticals and agribusiness.
The facility will provide investors with serviced industrial plots equipped with dedicated power, treated water, modern waste management systems and paved internal roads, while addressing challenges associated with land litigation and unreliable utilities.
According to the President, 14 industrial firms have already applied to establish operations at the park ahead of the completion of construction.
"The project forms part of the Government’s broader drive to translate macroeconomic stability into increased production, higher incomes and sustainable employment," he said.
President John Dramani Mahama also paid a working visit to the Bright International Industrial Zone, assuring investors of the Government’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for private investment and industrial expansion.
