Lenawee Christian’s Brynn Davis is taking the next step in her athletic career.
Davis signed an official letter of intent to play basketball at Spring Arbor University on Thursday, Oct. 22. Family, friends, coaches and faculty gathered to celebrate her in a ceremony at Lenawee Christian High School, where she spoke about her decision.
“My first draw was that it’s a strong Christian university and that’s what I was looking for,” Davis said. “The coaching staff stood out to me. They pursued me openly and it made me feel wanted. … Everyone’s very unified, dedicated and hardworking. That was really important to me.”
“Brynn has a super strength of character and an unwavering faith that made us want to recruit her from the get-go,” Spring Arbor coach John Williams said. “We knew it was the right fit. We had our fingers crossed that she would pick us too. We think she offers a lot of versatility on the court and leadership through her strength of character.”
The 6-foot forward was named a Division 4 All-State honorable mention last season during her junior year. She helped lead the Cougars to a 17-6 record in a campaign that culminated in a trip to the district finals.
Davis also plays volleyball and soccer for Lenawee Christian. Serving as the Cougars’ starting setter in volleyball, she surpassed 2,000 career assists earlier this year.

Now, Davis is set to join a successful Spring Arbor women’s basketball program. The Cougars have qualified for the 64-team NAIA Women's Basketball National Championship field in each of the past three seasons.
While Davis will remain a Cougar next year, she’ll trade her royal blue and scarlet jersey for a navy blue and yellow one as she enters the next chapter of her basketball journey.
“I used to play in my driveway when I was 10 years old,” Davis said. “[Playing college basketball] was always a goal for me.”
