The Tampa Bay Rays advanced to the World Series last night after notching their third consecutive win over the Cleveland Guardians. For Yandy Diaz, the final American League Championship Series game was nothing more than a formality.
Tampa Bay's designated hitter turned heads after Game 5 by declaring, "We're going to win tomorrow." The Rays did exactly that, beating Cleveland 7-3 behind a big game from Diaz. The 35-year-old hit a two-run home run in the eighth inning, erasing any Guardians comeback hopes.

After successfully calling his shot ahead of Game 6, Diaz brought out a celebratory tomahawk steak just like he did after the Rays clinched the postseason. It's becoming quite a tradition in the Tampa Bay locker room.

We'll see if Diaz is as confident against the Milwaukee Brewers, who just swept the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Championship Series.
When does the World Series start?
The Rays and Brewers begin the World Series in Milwaukee on Friday at 8 p.m. ET.
