State-owned submarine cable operator Bangladesh Submarine Cables Limited (BSCL) posted a 37.47% year-on-year rise in net profit for the FY2025-26, reaching Tk283 crore. The company's board has recommended a 47.50% cash dividend for shareholders.
The board approved the annual audited financial statements at a meeting on Thursday, according to a price sensitive information (PSI) disclosure.
Total revenue grew 25% to Tk496 crore, up from Tk396 crore in the previous fiscal year, the disclosure said.
The company attributed its top-line growth to increased demand across core business segments – including International Private Leased Circuit (IPLC) rent, IP transit services, and co-location services – supported by management initiatives and favourable government policies.
Its diluted earnings per share (EPS) stood at Tk13.61, up from Tk9.93 in the prior fiscal year, driven primarily by operational business growth alongside higher interest and other income, with no significant extraordinary transactions recorded during the period.
The record date for determining shareholder eligibility for the dividend has been set for 17 November, and the company will hold its annual general meeting (AGM) virtually on 20 December 2026. Following the dividend declaration, its share price rose 1.43% to Tk148.90.
