INCHEON — Inha University's Graduate School is recruiting students for the first semester of the 2027 academic year, offering scholarship benefits and research support programs. Applications are accepted online through the graduate school website until Nov. 6.
The most notable feature of this recruitment round is a scholarship system that sharply reduces tuition costs. The graduate school provides scholarships to 96% of its incoming full-time students. Full-time doctoral candidates who meet certain criteria, including undergraduate and master's grades, receive full tuition coverage, allowing them to focus solely on research. The school also runs tailored scholarship tracks for students with strong academic and research records, those who completed undergraduate research programs, and working professionals.
Beyond tuition reductions, substantial funding is available for research activities. The school operates 10 education and research groups and one education and research team selected for the Ministry of Education's fourth-phase BK21 (Brain Korea 21) program, along with 25 specialized workforce training projects. Participating students can receive additional research scholarships under program guidelines, as well as extensive support for presenting at domestic and international conferences and for field training costs.
Recruitment covers more than 70 departments across engineering, natural sciences, humanities and social sciences, arts and physical education, and medicine, as well as interdepartmental and industry-academia cooperative programs. The school is selecting students for master's, doctoral and combined master's-doctoral tracks.
Interdisciplinary programs that cross academic boundaries have also been significantly expanded. In addition to the existing seven interdisciplinary majors, the school has created advanced programs reflecting current industry demand, including public humanities, the sports industry and global climate strategy. Through minors, micro-majors and specialized major tracks, students can freely expand their course design to match their research topics and career paths.
Applicants should submit their applications on the graduate school website by Nov. 6, followed by the required supporting documents. Detailed admission requirements and scholarship criteria for each department are available in the admissions guidelines on the website.
