Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua got banged up in practice leading up to the Week 7 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. With the game right around the corner, head coach Sean McVay shared Nacua’s official status going into the contest.
Reports indicate that the 25-year-old is deemed questionable for Sunday’s matchup, according to Sarah Barshop of ESPN. Nacua is not practicing on Friday due to the calf injury, and his availability is currently up in the air.
“Rams WR Puka Nacua will not practice today with his calf injury, Sean McVay said,” Barshop reported. “He will be listed as questionable for the game.”

With Davante Adams already on the IR with a hamstring rupture, the Rams’ wide receiver room is already running thin. If Nacua is unable to play, quarterback Matthew Stafford would be throwing to wide receivers Jordan Whittington and Konata Mumpfield, along with tight end Tyler Higbee.
It’s been a frustrating start to the season for the four-year veteran, as he’s already missed two games this year due to injury. However, when healthy, Nacua is still proving to be as consistent as ever. In his four appearances so far this season, the two-time Pro Bowler has accumulated 37 receptions for 417 yards and one touchdown off 52 targets. His 104.3 yards per game is on pace for the second-highest in his career.
The Rams may not reveal Nacua’s availability until the final minute. McVay does have until 90 minutes before kickoff to reveal the official inactive list for Sunday’s game against the Raiders. That contest is scheduled to begin at 4:25 p.m. EST.
