The Los Angeles Rams are in danger of completely falling apart after Week 6. LA is 2-4 after losing to Arizona and the team looks completely lost despite having a loaded roster. Emotions are already starting to boil over in the locker room, even if there is not full blown revolt.
Rams head coach Sean McVaysaid that he did speak withKyren Williams about his recent comments following Week 6. McVay claimed that Williams misspoke while emotional after the game.
“I have,” McVay told reporters on Monday, per Mike Florio of PFT. “He brought it up to me. I wasn’t aware of it. He’s such an energy for us. He was emotional after the game. I know this guy’s heart. He wants to make sure that he’s influencing and effecting positive change. I think what he said it was more of, ‘I just always want to try to be that spark.’”

Williams was asked why the Rams couldn’t sustain momentum from drive to drive after the loss. He replied “can’t tell you, bro. Probably because I’m not out there.” His comment does seem like a clear shot at the coaching staff.
Still, McVay is adamant that Williams’ emotions simply got the better of him in that moment.
“He was frustrated after the game, but his teammates know what he’s about. When he explained it to me, I totally understood where he was coming from,” McVay added He’s a great leader for us. I think the way that it was interpreted was not what his intentions were. I know his teammates and I felt that way. He actually brought that up to me on his own. I was not aware of it until he brought it up to me.”
The Rams need to figure out how to deal more damage on offense if they want to turn the season around. Unfortunately, that will be more difficult without Davante Adams for several weeks.
Next up for the Rams is a Week 7 road game against the Raiders.
