Parnas Hotel & Resort said on the 20th that it has appointed Kim Ho-kyung as the first general manager of Inscape Yangyang by Parnas, which opens in December.
Kim is a hotel management specialist with about 30 years of experience in the hotel industry at home and abroad. He oversaw room operations at luxury resorts overseas, including in Singapore and Vietnam, and has led the opening of 10 hotels in Korea and abroad.
In 2022, he directed the opening of Parnas Hotel Jeju. He positioned the hotel's roughly 110-meter infinity pool as its signature facility and courted both domestic and international guests, steering the property to an early market foothold and a swing to profit. Earlier, beginning in 2016, he took charge of expanding the Nine Tree by Parnas brand and led the opening of five hotels. He also pursued a strategy to broaden the foreign guest base beyond Japan and China to Southeast Asia.
Kim will handle opening preparations for Inscape Yangyang and build out its initial operating framework. Inscape Yangyang will have 39 floors above ground and 393 rooms, about 91% of which are suites.
"We will establish a stable operating foundation from the earliest days after opening and present a new kind of leisure experience in which the time spent at the hotel becomes the purpose of the trip itself," Kim said.
