The "no pain, no gain" motto has been thrown out the window when it comes to athlete recovery, as professional sports organizations are leaning into wellness to ensure players are getting the rest required to perform at the most elite level.
The Dallas Cowboys alongside the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders are doing just that with their partnership with WorldSprings, which has not only been helpful to them as athletes but has become a resource beyond game day.
In April, WorldSprings Dallas -- which is less than 5 miles from the Cowboys' Headquarters -- was announced as the official wellness destination for the Cowboys, DCC, and Cowboys fans looking for a serene space to recharge and recover.
"We've built WorldSprings to support consistent, high-quality recovery, and we're proud to offer these athletes impactful resources when away from their training facility to support high performance throughout a demanding season," said Rob Kramer, CEO of WorldSprings, in a press release.
With the NFL season already kicked into full gear and a bye week on the horizon, athletes and fans can reset with WorldSprings.
What Does World Springs Offer?
WorldSprings Dallas has four globally inspired regions mineral pools, taking inspiration from the area in design, temperature, and mineral balance.
The mineral pools offered at WorldSprings Dallas are:
- The Oasis (magnesium and potassium) is the largest magnesium pool in the nation. It offers 10 hot mineral pools, two saunas, and five private cabanas. Muscle recovery, skin comfort, and sleep are the focus at this mineral pool.
- Dead Sea (chloride, sulfate, and sodium) has a focus on joint comfort, muscle recovery, and skin hydration.
- European Region (iron, lithium, and silica), inspired by The Blue Lagoon and Italy’s famed Chianciano Terme. This region at World Springs Dallas has two saunas, one cold plunge, a firepit rest area, and four cabanas. The minerals in the European region are to focus on: inner calmness, mental clarity, and giving guests a mood boost.
- Asiatic Region (bicarbonate, potassium, sulfate), takes inspiration from Hokkaido, Japan, with Sukiya architecture and the Osaek Springs in South Korea. The Asiatic region has two saunas, one cold plunge, one firepit rest area, and four cabanas. The minerals in the Asiatic region focus on circulation, inner calmness, and muscle recovery.
- Americas Region (calcium, magnesium, sodium), is inspired by Fuentes Georginas, Guatemala, and the mountains of Grutas Tolantongo, Mexico. The Americas region has one large format barrel sauna, one cold plunge, one firepit rest area, and four cabanas. The Americas' primary areas of wellness and recovery are: muscle recovery, restoration, and stress relief.
Throughout the property, guests can bask on the sun roof deck and enjoy several types of saunas, including: Red Light, Himalayan Salt, Aromatherapy, Chromotherapy, and Finnish. If you're looking for a unique experience in the sauna, World Springs offers Aufguss, which has a guided performance that combines aromatic essential oils, music, and lighting. The experience is choreographed by a wellness instructor as guests can take in a multisensory wellness adventure. It's suggested that after Aufguss, guests can take a cold plunge that ranges from 45'-55'.
“Recovery is a key part of staying consistent throughout the season,” said Josh Butler, Dallas Cowboys. “Having access to WorldSprings allows us to take care of our bodies and stay prepared for everything the schedule requires.”
There are also specialized spa activities like the DCC Beauty & Glow facial and Cowboys sports massage. DCC members like Kleine Powell and Kayla Hayes, as well as Cowboys players Butler, Marist Liufau, Zion Childress, Justin Barron, and Sam Williams have made World Springs a part of their offseason routine as well.
Dallas Cowboys Cabana
It's game day, and now you don't have to choose between relaxing by the pool or missing a touchdown. WorldSprings offers a Cowboys cabana with custom Dallas Cowboys decor, TVs (the only cabana on the property that offers them), and game-day menu items. The Cowboys cabana can comfortably seat six fans.
To catch the next game, the Cowboys face the Green Bay Packers on Oct. 18 at 8:20 pm ET.
