Real Madrid coach José Mourinho thanked AS Roma fans for the warm welcome he received at the Stadio Olimpico last Wednesday.
“When the best moments of a long career are neither goals nor victories, but emotions for which I can only humbly express my gratitude. Thank you Rome, thank you Romanisti. Emotions and eternal gratitude to you,” he posted on his social media.
Mourinho is a beloved figure in the Italian capital after leading Roma to a historic UEFA Conference League title. He also reached the UEFA Europa League Final the following year, becoming one of the most successful coaches in AS Roma history.
