Homicide investigators have revealed the identity of a badly decomposed body found dumped in a livestock drip on a property in rural NSW earlier this month.
The remains, which were located on October 5, belonged to Northern Rivers woman Yvonne Whear, 73, who was last seen nearly eight months ago.

According to Police, Ms Whear was last sighted at 3.22pm on February 21 at a Ready Express service station at Murwillumbah, before she began driving her gold Ford Escape wagon north on Queensland Road towards the small town of Dungay, just south of the state border, where she lived.
Ms Whear’s vehicle was eventually found by police divers submerged in the Rous River on September 12.
After analysing the body and determining its identity, NSW Police have commenced a homicide investigation.
More to come.
