Happy birthday, Bella Hadid! The model, who turned 30 years old on Friday, October 9, headed out of the city to celebrate the milestone with friends—hosting a mountainside dinner party and cabin retreat with bouquets of whimsical flowers, barn animals, and a whole lot of cowboy boots. And in photos reshared to her Instagram stories, the woman of the hour was seen wearing a colorful Y2K-inspired look that leaned into her whimsical surroundings.
Posing by her tablescape, the proud hostess smiled in a blue bucket hat and a pink knit cardigan, layered over a simple white tank. The outerwear featured a sweet rounded collar and black braided frog closures down the front.
For jeans, Hadid turned to independent label Mirchi. Rooted in traditional Indian embroidery techniques with inspiration from founder Kimaya Singh’s childhood growing up between New Delhi and New York, the brand specializes in one-of-one creations and intricate, colorful beading. Hadid’s jeans showcased both. Reminiscent of embroidered denim from the early aughts, which were often hand-stitched with vines or studded with rhinestones, the blue jeans featured butterflies and flowers, in shades of yellow, pink, and green.
Of course, the equestrian (and stylist Mimi Cuttrell) secured the bottoms with one of her Western belts, a worn-in chunky piece in brown leather with a sunburst buckle. She slipped into butter-yellow loafers and added a collection of gold jewelry—including rings, bracelets, and a particularly meaningful necklace. Sourced from Sororité Vintage, the 1979 Pierre Cardin Libra diamond necklace featured the birthday girl’s zodiac calendar—with a movable diamond date marker.
