The rest of the NFL Week 6 slate is nearly upon us and we’re going around the league to check out the latest injury updates on DJ Moore, A.J. Brown, Chris Olave, Mike Evans and more wide receivers whose statues are in doubt.
Before we get to those players, Rashee Rice is the most notable wide receiver who has been ruled out for Week 6.
As far as the wide receivers who have been cleared to play are concerned, the list is populated by DeVonta Smith, Zay Flowers, Ladd McConkey, Denzel Boston, KC Concepcion, Dontayvion Wicks and Quentin Johnston.
Now, a look at what we know about Moore, Brown, Olave, Evans and more wide receivers who are uncertain for this week.

DJ Moore injury update
DJ Moore is still trying to get past his AC joint sprain that he suffered in Week 2 and re-aggravated in Week 4.
After not playing in Week 5, Moore was only able to log a single limited practice in Week 6 and is questionable to suit up.
Buffalo Bills beat reporter, Sal Capaccio of WGR 550, believes the Bills will hold Moore out with the bye week coming in order to try and get him right.

We tend to agree that’s what Buffalo will do.
A.J. Brown injury update

UPDATE: After this article was written, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that Brown “will likely” be activated off injured reserve and play in Week 6.
“The Patriots will likely activate WR AJ Brown off Injured Reserve to play against the Jets on Sunday, sources say,” Rapoport reported. “Brown returned to practice this week after a stint on IR with a high-ankle sprain and now an anticipated return to the field.”
Now, it’ll be interesting to see if Brown will be on a limited snap count in his first game back after more than a month off. Be on the lookout for any report about that between now and Sunday afternoon.
END OF UPDATE
A.J. Brown has been working his way back from a high-ankle sprain since Week 1.
Initially given a timeline of about six weeks, according to reports, it appears Brown is ahead of schedule, but he only turned in limited practices this week after being designated to return from injured reserve, picking up the questionable tag for Week 6.
We find it hard to believe Brown is going to return off only limited practices, so we expect the New England Patriots wideout to sit.

A decision is expected to come down on Saturday, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Chris Olave injury update

Chris Olave draws the questionable tag for Week 6, but because of an illness, not because of an injury.
Olave didn’t practice on Wednesday and Thursday before taking part in a limited session on Friday, so he’s trending toward suiting up.
We’d say Olave is likely to play because illness rarely keeps players from playing, especially when the illness occurs early in the week like it did for the New Orleans Saints wideout.
Mike Evans injury update

Mike Evans overcame a rib injury to play last week, but now has an Achilles issue added.
The veteran wideout has been sidelined at practice over the first two days as a result. He was, however, spotted doing rehab work on the side field, NBC Sports Bay Area’s Matt Maiocco reported, so there’s hope.
Evans has one more practice on Saturday before he draws a tag for Week 6. It looks like a questionable tag is in his future, but Maiocco believes Evans will ultimately suit up.
Stefon Diggs injury update

After not practicing at all last week before being ruled out with his hamstring injury, Stefon Diggs started off this week with a “DNP” on Thursday before he was upgraded on Friday.
That has Diggs moving in a positive direction, but we still need to see what he does on Saturday.
For now, Diggs looks like he’s headed toward a questionable tag.
DK Metcalf injury update

DK Metcalf popped up on the Pittsburgh Steelers’ injury report on Friday with an illness and is now questionable to play.
Illnesses aren’t usually a cause for concern for a player’s status, but it’s a bit different in this instance because Metcalf picked his up at the end of the week.
Hopefully there will be some clarity on Metcalf on Saturday, but if not we’ll know no later than 11:30 a.m. ET on Sunday, when the Steelers release their list of inactives.
