LONDON: Barbie has honoured Celine Dion by creating a new signature doll in her image, PA Media/dpa reported.
The doll pays tribute to the navy, long-sleeved dress Dion wore when she performed the Titanic theme song, My Heart Will Go On, at the Academy Awards in 1998.
The blue necklace worn by the doll is inspired by the Heart of the Ocean necklace, which plays an important role in the 1997 blockbuster.
The doll's hair is styled in an updo and it also wears a pair of silver earrings.
Dion said: "It is a true honour to join the Barbie legacy with a doll inspired by one of the most meaningful moments of my career.
"I hope this doll inspires everyone to express themselves with confidence, follow their dreams, and believe in the power of their own voice."
Dion is the latest star to have her likeness used for a Barbie doll, following the likes of Mariah Carey and Tina Turner.
Margot Robbie, who played Barbie in the 2023 blockbuster film, also had a doll made in her likeness.
With nearly 260 million albums sold worldwide, Dion is one of the best-selling and most decorated artistes in pop music history, known for hits including My Heart Will Go On and Because You Loved Me.
In 2022, Dion disclosed that she had been diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome and stepped away from performing.
She returned to the stage last month with the first of 16 shows scheduled for September and October at the Plenitude Arena in a suburb of Paris.
The Barbie Signature Celine Dion Doll from Mattel is available for sale now.
