The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, will on Friday, 2026, inaugurate the Abuja headquarters of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, a group mobilising grassroots support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
The ceremony is expected to bring together movement leaders, political stakeholders, coordinators, supporters and invited guests.
The movement said the office will coordinate its activities in the Federal Capital Territory and support its national mobilisation programme.
The movement is convened by High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, its Grand Patron.
National Coordinator Comrade Sunday Adekanbi Asuku said the inauguration would reinforce the group’s determination to build a strong grassroots network capable of reaching voters nationwide.
Its strategy, the movement said, was direct engagement.
It said members and coordinators were expected to take the president’s message to households, markets, workplaces and religious centres, rather than rely solely on rallies and large gatherings.
Since starting state-level mobilisation, the group said, it has inaugurated state chapters and local government coordinating structures. It also said it has distributed over 300 campaign vehicles and equipment across states including Katsina, Borno, Kano, Taraba, Nasarawa, Kogi, Lagos, Oyo, Yobe, Bauchi, Kwara, Gombe and Ondo.
In Katsina, it said, it inaugurated coordinators in all 34 local government areas and deployed 34 vehicles. In Borno, it deployed 44 vehicles and public-address equipment. In Kano, it provided 50 vehicles. In Taraba, it inaugurated its state structure in Jalingo and presented 25 vehicles. Nasarawa and Kogi got 25 vehicles each, Kwara 34 (at its Ilorin inauguration) and Gombe 26.
In Ondo, where 26 vehicles were deployed, Tompolo charged coordinators to intensify engagement with registered voters and work to turn support for the President into votes at the polls.
The leadership urged coordinators to explain the administration’s programmes on infrastructure, education, healthcare and economic reforms, and to engage residents respectfully and listen to their concerns. It also called on supporters to maintain peaceful, issue-based engagement and respect citizens with differing political views.
The movement said it is working to establish a presence in all 36 states and the FCT, with structures extending to local government areas, wards and polling units.
