KARACHI: Malir Police have formed an investigation team to probe the deaths of five people whose bodies were found at a house in Gulshan-e-Hadeed, with investigators set to examine forensic evidence, Shahzaib’s personal relationships and the purchase of the property.
The team will include the DSP Bin Qasim, DSP Malir City, an IT in-charge and two station house officers (SHOs). Police said a notification regarding the team would be issued shortly.
According to the initial investigation, Shahzaib used his left hand to write. Investigators will examine this detail as part of the probe into the incident.
Police will also record statements from Shahzaib’s close friends and investigate why some of them had recently ended their friendships with him.
The mobile phones and pistol recovered from the house will be sent for forensic examination, police said.
Investigators will send samples for analysis after receiving the initial medical report on Thursday.
Police will also investigate when and from whom Shahzaib purchased the house. Officials said footage recorded by police upon arriving at the scene would also be examined as part of the investigation.
Further findings are expected as investigators examine the forensic evidence and record statements from people connected to the deceased.
