The Los Angeles Rams face another difficult test as they prepare for a crucial NFL Week 7 matchup. The team heads into Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders needing a strong response after losing to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6.
Los Angeles has dealt with several setbacks this season, and its receiving group has become a growing concern. The Rams rely on their passing attack to create explosive plays, stretch opposing defenses and keep games competitive. Any disruption to that unit could complicate their plans.
Head coach Sean McVay must now assess his available options before the team travels to Las Vegas. The final practice sessions will help determine which players can contribute, with the Rams hoping to avoid another significant setback.

Puka Nacua suffers calf injury ahead of Rams’ Week 7 game
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the latest injury development involving Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua, whose availability for Week 7 is now in doubt. Nacua left Thursday’s practice with a calf injury, according to reports from ESPN and the Los Angeles Times.
The Rams listed Nacua as a limited participant on Thursday’s injury report. The team has not confirmed that he will miss Sunday’s game, leaving his status uncertain as preparations continue. The severity of the injury also remains unclear.

The Rams face the Raiders on Sunday, October 25, in Las Vegas. Nacua’s participation in Friday’s practice and the team’s final injury designation will provide a clearer picture of his chances of playing. Until then, Los Angeles must prepare for the possibility of losing another important offensive weapon.
Rams need Puka Nacua with Davante Adams sidelined
Nacua’s availability matters even more because the Rams have already lost Davante Adams to a serious hamstring injury. Head coach Sean McVay said Adams would miss six to 10 weeks, leaving Los Angeles without one of its leading receiving options for an extended period.
Nacua has produced 37 receptions for 417 yards and one touchdown across four games this season. He also missed Weeks 2 and 3 with a psoas injury before returning to the lineup. His latest setback raises fresh questions about the Rams’ ability to maintain consistency through the air.
If Nacua cannot play, Matthew Stafford will need more production from the remaining receivers, including Tutu Atwell, Jordan Whittington and Konata Mumpfield. The Rams must also manage their wider injury problems while trying to improve on their 2-4 start.
Los Angeles has not ruled Nacua out, so his Week 7 status remains unresolved. Friday’s practice report should offer the next important indication of whether he can suit up against Las Vegas.
