INCHEON — The 2026 Incheon Marathon will be held on Nov. 22 along a course that crosses the Cheongna Sky Bridge, the city's new landmark.
Co-hosted by the Incheon Metropolitan Government and the Korea Association of Athletics Federations, the race is the only internationally certified full marathon in Incheon. Organizers fully redesigned the course this year, incorporating the Cheongna Sky Bridge for the first time.
The revised full marathon is a one-way route that starts on Yeongjong-daero near Unseo Station in Yeongjong District, passes over the Cheongna Sky Bridge and through Cheongna International City, and finishes inside Incheon Asiad Main Stadium. The 10-kilometer and 5-kilometer courses will be run in the area around the main stadium.
Amid strong interest, organizers expanded the full marathon field to 8,000 runners from 6,200. Registration for all 20,000 participants, including those entrants, closed early.
To prevent traffic congestion and accidents caused by large crowds, the city will operate separate starting points for the full marathon and the 10-kilometer and 5-kilometer races. It also plans to concentrate dedicated safety personnel at bottlenecks such as the entrance and exit ramps of the Cheongna Sky Bridge.
