Seated on the bike with his little daughter behind him and his young son at the very back, the father came up with a simple but effective solution when he worried the children might doze off and fall during the journey.
Behind the boy, a sack of provisions was also strapped securely to the bike.
Rather than simply instructing the children to grip his jacket, the father pulled out a lesso, looped it across his son's back, passed it through to his daughter's side and knotted it firmly at the front, creating what can only be described as a homemade safety belt.

Why Kenyan dad used lesso to secure children on motorbike
The man filming the moment asked him directly what he was doing, and the father's answer was disarmingly simple.
"They can fall asleep while we are on the road and fall down," he explained, making clear that his concern was not just about keeping the children awake but keeping them secure regardless.
Two bystanders stopped to help him tighten the arrangement, with one of them noticing that the daughter in the middle appeared to be sitting uncomfortably.
Their willingness to step in and assist a stranger only added to the warmth of the moment. Once the children were properly secured, the father rode off, with many viewers hoping the family arrived home safely.
Kenyans touched by man's care for kids
The video drew a wave of admiration and nostalgic reflections online, with many commenters recalling their own childhood experiences of riding on bikes and bicycles.
