Cristiano Ronaldo returned to the scoresheet as Al Nassr secured a 3-1 victory over Al Faisaly in the Saudi Pro League on Friday.
The 41-year-old Portugal forward rose highest to head home João Félix's free-kick delivery, doubling Al Nassr's lead four minutes into the second half.
Ronaldo's goal came after he was handed a 30-day suspension and fined €255 ($286) by the Portuguese Football Federation earlier this week, following a reported dispute with national team head coach Jorge Jesus.
The veteran forward put the controversy behind him with his sixth goal of the season, moving within 18 goals of the coveted 1,000-goal milestone in his professional career.
The victory was a timely boost for Al Nassr as they continued their pursuit of the Saudi Pro League title, keeping pace with Al Qadsiah and Al Hilal in a closely contested race.
The three points also marked Al Nassr's eighth league win of the campaign, strengthening their position among the title contenders.
