Coach Mike Brown’s New York Knicks traveled to Boston to take on familiar face Mitchell Robinson, whose absence was cited as a fatal flaw that may doom their NBA championship chances. Robinson provided invaluable depth for the Knicks on their 2025-26 NBA title run, something not lost on Karl-Anthony Towns and the Knicks as they gave out NBA championship rings ahead of their game in Boston.
The game included an exciting sequence for Knicks and Celtics fans as Towns drove near the top of the key and was played closely by Derrick White. White provided just enough resistance for Robinson to slide over and swat Towns’ shot as the Knicks big man tumbled to the court.
