Glasgow’s biggest Halloween event has returned with a new ‘Zombie Zoo’ theme.
GlasGlow opens on Friday at Glasgow Botanic Gardens, with this year’s event featuring a zombie-themed Halloween trail.
Now in its ninth year, the event has been transformed into what organisers Itison describe as the “world’s first ever zombie containment and conservation facility”.
The trail features interactive decontamination tunnels, zombie laboratories and an eight-metre “Zombie God”, as well as a zombie cage.
The Botanic Gardens have also been decorated with lighting displays and Halloween sets, with food and drink stalls and a pumpkin patch.

There will also be food and drink on offer along with a pumpkin patch for children.
GlasGlow Zombie Zoo runs until November 1.
Oli Norman, chief executive of itison and founder of GlasGlow, said: “I’ve wanted to bring zombies to GlasGlow for years, and we’ve gone all out to make this year’s show our biggest and most ambitious yet.
“There’s action, suspense and surprises around every corner, but it’s also packed with all the magic, fun and interactive experiences that people love about GlasGlow .
“What we’ve discovered while building Zombie Zoo is that zombies are actually very misunderstood. They just need a bit of love and nurture and we can’t wait for everyone to come meet them.”
