The Paley Center for Media is adding some boldface names to its board of trustees.
The nonprofit says that Skydance CEO David Ellison, Mattel CEO Roger Lynch, Meta president and vice chair Dina Powell McCormick and Charter CEO Chris Winfrey are joining its board, and that Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. is joining its Los Angeles board of governors.
The Paley Center operates two facilities, one in New York and the other in L.A., which provide a year-round museum focused on media, entertainment culture, as well as public-facing and invitation-only events like Paleyfest.
In fact, the new trustees were announced at the kickoff of the 2026 Paley International Council Summit, which will include sessions with people like Strauss Zelnick, John Malone, David Solomon, Gary Bettman and others.
The board is already comprised of media and entertainment heavy hitters that include Lachlan Murdoch, Ynon Kreiz, Eddy Cue, Neal Mohan, Roger Goodell, Tyler Perry and Josh D’Amaro.
“We are privileged to welcome this renowned group of exceptional and distinguished leaders to Paley’s Board of Trustees and Los Angeles Board of Governors,” said Maureen J. Reidy, president & CEO of The Paley Center for Media. “Their visionary leadership, innovative insights, and extraordinary expertise will further strengthen Paley’s standing as the media industry’s preeminent nonprofit cultural institution.”
“I am honored to join The Paley Center for Media’s Board of Trustees,” added David Ellison. “For decades, Paley has been home to the conversation about how media shapes our culture, preserving the stories that have captivated audiences around the world while championing the creators and innovators who will define what comes next. At Skydance, we believe deeply in the power of media to entertain, inform and bring people together, whether through film, television, streaming or the news. I look forward to working alongside this distinguished group of leaders to support the Paley Center’s vital work and its mission to celebrate and advance the media landscape for future generations.”
“The Paley Center has been an enduring force in both preserving media’s history and helping shape its future,” said Roger Lynch. “It is an honor to join the Board of Trustees, and I look forward to contributing to Paley’s important work for years to come.”
“Music and media have the power to make us feel seen, open our minds, and connect us like nothing else can,” added Harvey Mason Jr. “That power comes from people with a story to tell and the courage to create. I’m honored to join the Paley Center’s Los Angeles Board of Governors and help champion those voices, celebrate the work that has shaped our lives, and inspire the next generation to leave their own mark.”
