Esther Mbajiaku, who describes herself as a speaker, entrepreneur, creator, and preacher, posted the clip on Instagram on October 15.
What did prophetess say about Ruto?
Filmed in a selfie style against a plain beige wall, she delivers a solemn, emotionally charged monologue directly to the camera, with white captions displaying her spoken words throughout.
In the video, Mbajiaku claims the Lord spoke to her about the Kenyan president, saying he was "raised for such a time as this" and has been given "a heart for revival."
She describes a spiritual season of pruning for both Ruto and the broader government, referencing what she calls a shaking among those closest to him in political circles.
She goes on to say she received a vision of Kenya forging alliances with neighbouring countries, with God granting the nation favour in the region.
Central to her message is what she describes as a divine burden placed on the president's heart specifically for the youth, with visions of empowerment programmes and workshops aimed at reducing illiteracy among young Kenyans.
"I believe that God is raising Kenya as a standard in this time," she says, before closing with a prayer.
The video might have remained a niche faith post, but it gained significant attention after Isaya Yunge, the husband of Ruto's daughter Charlene Ruto, liked the post on Instagram.
The like drew Kenyans to the comments section in large numbers, with reactions split sharply between scepticism and support.
joelmenal was blunt in his dismissal:
"There is nothing that God showed you."
Others were more enthusiastic.
kibiru_steve wrote:
"All Kenyans gather here and shout Amen."
chirry_254 added:
"May God make our nation of Kenya great!"
kambuac68, kept things light:
"So wantam or tutam?"
