Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, journalist Pete O’Rourke mentioned that Manchester United are in the running for Juventus defender Pierre Kalulu. O’Rourke said,
“The Italian club are very keen to try and keep him at the club, and I think they are in talks about extending his current contract as well.
“He’s still got three years to run on his deal at the minute until the summer of 2029, but Juventus are aware of this growing interest from the likes of Liverpool, PSG, I think Manchester City and Man United have all shown interest in him as well, so it’ll be a hard deal to do for Liverpool.
“Juventus are trying to keep hold of Kalulu, and I think there’ll be a lot of interest from other clubs as well, which would make it a real hard race to win for Liverpool and any other club.”
Kalulu’s Decent Form In Serie A
Kalulu has enjoyed a good run of form at the Italian club as he has put in a few solid performances for them in Serie A. The 26-year-old has made nine appearances for Juventus this season across all fronts.
The French talent is currently one of the most talented centre-backs in Serie A. Hence, it is no surprise that the Red Devils are eyeing a move for him next year.

Should Manchester United Boss Michael Carrick Go For Kalulu?
Kalulu is a good tackler of the ball and can scan the danger well to earn possession back for his team inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when needed and is proficient at playing his way out from the back.
The French talent has proven himself to be a decent performer in Serie A. However, only time will tell whether he can make a smooth transition to life in the Premier League if the Red Devils manage to sign him in 2027.
Kalulu would add more bite and steel to Man United boss Michael Carrick’s defence. He is good enough to compete for a regular first-team spot at Old Trafford.
At 26, Kalulu has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a decent choice for the Red Devils to consider next year. However, Carrick has to give him some time to adjust to English football before he can get the best out of him.
