The Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (rtd.), has assured that Kaduna State is fully prepared to host the official flag-off of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign on Saturday, October 24, 2026, with thousands of party leaders, delegates and supporters expected to attend.
Musa, who is the Secretary of the Presidential Campaign Committee on Intelligence, gave the assurance during an inspection of Ranchers Bees Stadium, the venue for the campaign flag-off.
According to a statement made available to journalists in Abuja by the minister’s Special Assistant on Media, Leah Katung-Babatunde, preparations across Kaduna metropolis had reached an advanced stage, with organising committees, security agencies and party executives working together to ensure a successful event.
The statement explained that Musa’s inspection focused on security arrangements, crowd management plans and the state of the stadium’s infrastructure to ensure the safety of attendees and the smooth movement of dignitaries.
It assured the party’s presidential candidate, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the public that adequate preparations had been made to receive him, alongside APC leaders and supporters expected from across the country.
According to the statement, Musa said the inspection was part of efforts to ensure that the venue and surrounding areas were ready for the large turnout anticipated at the rally.
The Kaduna event is expected to mark the official commencement of the APC presidential campaign tour across the country ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
The rally is also expected to bring together party stakeholders and supporters to formally launch the party’s nationwide campaign activities.
