Ardie Savea's financial standing has attracted growing interest from rugby fans, with online estimates placing the All Blacks star's net worth somewhere between US$3 million and US$5 million.
Converted at the South African Reserve Bank's reported exchange rate of approximately R16.53 to the dollar on 15 October 2026, those figures translate to roughly R49.6 million at the lower end and R82.7 million at the upper end.
What Savea Earns on the Field
The flanker has represented the All Blacks, the Hurricanes, Moana Pasifika and Japan's Kobelco Kobe Steelers across his professional career. Athlete Network reported that his earnings during Japan Rugby League One's 2025–26 season fell between US$800,000 and US$900,000, which equates to approximately R13.2 million to R14.9 million for that period.
That arrangement was part of a deal allowing Savea to compete in Japan while remaining under contract to New Zealand Rugby. He returned to the Kobe Steelers for the 2025–26 campaign before his departure from the club was announced in June 2026.
As with his broader net worth, his precise salary, bonuses and contractual terms have not been officially disclosed.
Business Interests Beyond Rugby
Savea has also pursued commercial opportunities outside the sport. Together with his wife Saskia, he co-founded ASAV, a clothing label focused on casual wear and streetwear. The brand gave the couple a foothold in the fashion industry beyond Savea's playing career.
He has additionally explored athlete representation and brand partnerships, though the income generated by those activities has not been publicly quantified. This makes it difficult to assess how much his business interests contribute to his overall financial picture.
