The Milwaukee Brewers are up 2-0 in the National League Championship Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. There is a great deal of buzz surrounding this year’s squad, even more than last season when they advanced to the NLCS for the first time since 2018. Undoubtedly, the 2026 Brewers are a much better team overall.
This is, of course, true offensively as Milwaukee is one of best hitting teams in all Major League Baseball. However, it is also true defensively as they play disciplined in the field and commit very few errors.
As such, two Brewers players have named finalists for the Rawlings Gold Glove Award.
Milwaukee Brewers stars Brice Turang and Jackson Chourio have been named Gold Glove finalists
Earlier today, Rawlings released the names of the three players at each position in the National and American Leagues who have been voted as finalists for the Gold Glove, the award given to the best defensive player at those positions.
Jackson Chourio was named a finalist in left field while Brice Turang is a finalist at second base:

Chourio, who missed the first month of the season, had a perfect fielding percentage in left field this year. He had 199 putouts, eight outfield assists, and 13 defensive runs saved. While offense is not supposed to be considered for this defensive award, it certainly does not hurt capture the attention of voters. Chourio had a career-year at the plate hitting .291/.351/.487 with 25 home runs, 75 RBI, and 23 stolen bases.
Turang, who won the Gold Glove at second base in 2024 (as well as the Platinum Glove), had a stellar season in the field again. He led the National League with 219 putouts and all of MLB by being a part of 91 double plays. He also has been credited with 14 defensive runs saved.
At the plate, the Brewers second baseman became the first at his position in team history to have 20+ home runs and 100+ RBI in a single season. He hit .268/.366/.450 with 21 home runs, 100 RBI, and 19 stolen bases.
The winners of the Gold Glove Awards will be announced on November 1.
