It has been decided to conduct the annual school census for the 2026-27 academic year across 38,000 government schools in Punjab from October 21 to 31. In this regard, the Program Monitoring and Implementation Unit (PMIU) has released a schedule for online training sessions.
According to the issued schedule, training for master trainers will take place on October 16, while online training sessions for IT teachers, Assistant Education Officers (AEOs), and head teachers will be held from October 17 to 19. Nominated male and female IT teachers from each tehsil will serve as master trainers. For the school census, training will be provided to IT teachers from all high and higher secondary schools, as well as to the heads of ‘Masjid Maktabs’ (mosque-based schools), primary schools, and elementary schools.
According to the schedule, a trial activity will also take place on October 19 and 20 for the preparation of the training modules.
Relevant authorities have instructed all nominated officers and teachers to ensure their participation in the training sessions so that the annual school census process can be completed within the stipulated timeframe.
