You Can See Everything has become the highest-rated feature film of all time on Letterboxd, reaching an average rating of 4.8 out of 5 following its theatrical release on October 16, 2026. Directed by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim, the documentary has drawn significant attention from audiences and cinephiles, with its rating climbing rapidly during its opening weekend.

The film centres on Elizabeth Holmes, the founder of the now-defunct health technology company Theranos, who invited a documentary crew to follow her life shortly before she began serving a prison sentence for defrauding investors. What began as an observational documentary developed into a three-year project, with Fielder and his team documenting Holmes and her partner, Billy Evans. The film explores the blurred boundaries between truth, deception and performance.
Fielder, known for his television series Nathan for You and The Rehearsal, co-directed the film with Oppenheim, whose previous work includes Some Kind of Heaven. Running approximately 174 minutes, You Can See Everything combines documentary filmmaking with elements that challenge the conventions of the genre, with Fielder also appearing on camera during his interactions with Holmes.
The film’s reported 4.8 out of 5 rating on Letterboxd puts it above several long-standing favourites on the platform, including Harakiri, The Human Condition III: A Soldier’s Prayer, 12 Angry Men and Come and See, which occupy the top positions on Letterboxd’s official Top 500 narrative-feature list. Harakiri currently leads that list with a rating of approximately 4.7, while several other titles are rated around 4.6. However, the official ranking excludes documentaries, and Letterboxd ratings can fluctuate as more viewers watch and rate a film. The 4.8 figure therefore reflects the documentary’s exceptional early reception which may witness change with time.

The film’s reception has extended to major critical aggregators as well, where it has posted similarly exceptional scores. On Rotten Tomatoes, You Can See Everything holds a 99% critics’ score based on more than 100 reviews, alongside a 99% audience score. On Metacritic, the documentary has reached a score of 98 out of 100, placing it among the most highly rated films on the platform in recent years.
A24’s current theatrical rollout is limited to the United States and Canada, with additional international releases scheduled in territories including Australia, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, the Czech Republic, Ireland and the United Kingdom. There is currently no distribution planned for India.
