During the visits, Tarique Rahman will exchange greetings with worshippers, meet members of the Hindu community and inquire about their well-being.
The prime minister is scheduled to depart from Tejgaon Airport by military aircraft at 9am on Tuesday. He will return to Dhaka that night after completing the Chattogram visit.
On Monday night, Tarique Rahman visited several Durga Puja mandaps in the capital’s Mohakhali and Banani areas. His wife, Zubaida Rahman, accompanied him.
Tuesday marks Maha Navami, the ninth day of Durga Puja. The festival will conclude on Wednesday with Bijoya Dashami and the immersion of idols.
