Few NFL teams generated as much hype as the Los Angeles Rams did during the offseason. While fans anticipated a potential championship run, Matthew Stafford’s team has struggled to meet those expectations and currently holds a 2-4 record this season. The disappointing start has already prompted NFL legend Rob Gronkowski to lose faith in the concept of “super teams.”
On “Fox Sports: NFL,” Gronkowski said that he had entered the season believing they could finally prove that a star-studded roster could win a Super Bowl.
“I’m kind of out on those Los Angeles Rams,” Gronkowski said. “I had them as my Super Bowl going into the season. I finally thought, hey, a Super Team is finally going to be able to pull it off and win a Super Bowl.

“Like it’s going to finally make sense. But I don’t know what it is with these Super Teams. I’ll never believe in a Super Team again unless the Rams can turn it around. But they just look like they’re getting bullied on the football field.”
The additions of Myles Garrett and Trent McDuffie, along with Aaron Donald’s return from retirement, had given Rams fans plenty of reasons to believe the team could make a strong start and build toward a championship. However, six weeks into the season, Sean McVay’s squad has fallen significantly short of those expectations.
Gronkowski added that the Rams must quickly change their approach if they want to salvage their season.
“They got to turn this season around,” Gronkowski added. “I think the panic meter is pretty high for Coach McVay. It’s pretty high for the Rams. And it’s just they got to go out there, and they got to punch their opponent in the face.”
The Rams’ latest setback came against the Arizona Cardinals, who entered the matchup after losing four consecutive games. One of the biggest concerns for the team has been its inability to avoid costly mistakes.
It remains to be seen whether this disappointing start is merely an early-season setback for the Rams or an indication of deeper problems.
