ANKER Innovations is bringing its solar energy storage solutions to the Philippines via the Anker SOLIX brand.
The launch was made possible through a partnership between NAVCO, a distributor and retailer of global consumer electronics brands in the Philippines, and GoPrime, the solar energy solutions company behind GoSolar.
Anker SOLIX is looking to expand its presence across retail and e-commerce channels across the country, it said. It is also exploring installment financing options and is building a wider installer network to strengthen its installation and service capabilities.
“This will be achieved through a combination of NAVCO’s nationwide brand-building, distribution, retail, and sales capabilities together with GoSolar’s expertise in solar energy engineering, system design, installation, and technical support,” the brand said.
NAVCO will handle product importation, distribution, brand marketing, and retail development, while GoSolar will be in charge of technical solutions, installation services, and after-sales support for home energy systems.
“The Philippines is uniquely positioned for this transition to decentralized energy because the need is not only environmental — it is economic and practical. High electricity costs, grid challenges, and the country’s exposure to typhoons make energy independence increasingly relevant to everyday Filipino households,” said Symons Xie, general manager of Anker SOLIX.
“This launch is the beginning of a long-term commitment — we are here to grow with the market, expand our local presence and product portfolio, and help shape a Philippine energy future that is more resilient, more sustainable, and always on,” Ryan Tan, president of the NAVCO Group, said.
The launch was centered on a lineup of three products to serve household energy needs that range from portable backup power to home energy management.
First, the SOLIX XE Hybrid is a whole-home energy solution that is designed to provide backup power while enabling solar self-consumption.
“When paired with eight to 10 solar panels, the system can generate an estimated 7,440 to 9,300 kWh (kilowatt hours) annually based on a Manila-area benchmark of approximately 1,550 equivalent full-load hours per year,” it said.
Second, the SolarBank 4 is marketed as an entry point for households looking to get into decentralized energy.
“When paired with four panels, the SolarBank 4 can generate an estimated 3,720 kWh annually, with approximately 2,230 kWh potentially self-consumed. With six panels, the estimated annual generation rises to approximately 5,580 kWh,” the brand said.
Lastly, the S2000 is meant for those looking for a portable energy solution.
“Recognizing a market gap for high-quality, plug-and-play energy solutions, the S2000 is able to provide clean power in a more portable form for those who work remotely, travel or are outdoors frequently, or live in smaller homes.”
Other Anker SOLIX products include modular, solar battery storage systems and solar balcony solutions, as well as portable power stations. — Bettina V. Roc
