Newcastle vs Aston Villa odds and tips
The last five meetings between the two sides have produced 14 goals in the Premier League. Newcastle haven’t gotten the better of Villa in the last three Premier League meetings, with their match against the Villans a 2-0 loss at home, although betting sites are giving the Magpies a slight edge this weekend.
Best bets
- Best bet 1: Aston Villa or draw double chance @ 8/13
Both sides enter this one in patchy form in the Premier League. Newcastle have won just once at home in the Premier League this term, and have conceded in all four games played at St James’ Park. On the flip side, Villa are unbeaten in all four of their away matches so far this season and appeal to get something from the game at the odds on football betting sites.
- Best bet 2: Both teams to score, over 2.5 goals @ 4/5
Villa’s last three Premier League games have produced over 2.5 goals and saw both teams score, while both teams to score and over 2.5 goals landed in the previous four Newcastle league games.
Aston Villa provided further proof of their goalscoring potential with a 6-0 rout of Fenerbahce in midweek, while Newcastle are yet to keep a clean sheet at home under Mathias Jaissle.
