CM to inaugurate Doppler Weather Radar Station, key development projects in South Tripura on Oct 28

Preparations have gathered momentum for the inauguration of the much-anticipated Doppler Weather Radar Station and several other development projects in South Tripura, which are scheduled to be formally launched by Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha on October 28. 

In view of the upcoming inauguration, the South Tripura district administration on Wednesday conducted an extensive review and inspection programme to assess the readiness of the projects and ensure the successful execution of the event.

The review exercise was attended by senior officials of the district administration, representatives of various government departments and the Scientist-D of the Meteorological Centre, Agartala. During the inspection, officials closely examined the progress of ongoing works associated with the projects and assessed the status of infrastructure and logistical arrangements ahead of the inauguration.

Particular emphasis was placed on completing all remaining works within the stipulated timeframe. Concerned departments were directed to expedite pending tasks and maintain close coordination to avoid delays. Officials also reviewed arrangements related to the inauguration programme and discussed measures to ensure smooth implementation of responsibilities among different agencies.

The meeting further underscored the importance of inter-departmental coordination, timely execution of assigned works and comprehensive preparations to facilitate the successful rollout of the projects. Authorities stressed that every aspect of the programme should be completed efficiently to ensure the inauguration proceeds without any hindrance.

The Doppler Weather Radar Station is expected to significantly strengthen weather monitoring capabilities in the region and support improved forecasting and disaster preparedness. Alongside this, the inauguration of other development projects is anticipated to contribute to the district's ongoing infrastructure and public service enhancement efforts.

The South Tripura district administration reiterated its commitment to strengthening modern weather infrastructure and ensuring the timely completion of key developmental initiatives, describing the upcoming inauguration as an important milestone in the district's development journey.
