Arch Manning's disappointing season continued on Saturday.
After Texas suffered its first loss of the season in the Red River Rivalry against Oklahoma last week, its problems carried over to Week 7 as the Longhorns fell 27-24 at home against a reeling Florida Gators team that had lost its last two games by a combined 47 points.
It was another rough outing for Manning. He completed 14 of 20 passes for 173 yards and a touchdown, and he made an excellent fourth-down play late in the game that gave Texas a chance. However, he also committed what proved to be a game-ending turnover on the Longhorns' final possession, fumbling on a sack that allowed the Gators to run out the rest of the clock.
It seems the fourth-year quarterback may have left some big-time plays on film, as well. After the game, a screenshot went viral of Manning passing on what appeared to be a wide-open touchdown in the first quarter, instead checking down to a fairly well-covered flat player. Texas' drive ultimately stalled, and it had to settle for a field goal.

Manning certainly seems to be struggling to see the field, which is concerning for a player of his pedigree in his second full season as the starter. Pair that with his turnover problem, and the No. 1 prospect seems to have some serious issues.
Those issues have held back what should be a national title competitor this season, and now with two losses, Texas' margin for error is dwindling if it wishes to make the College Football Playoff.
