Lido Finance has announced an October 2026 installment of Poolside, its recurring community call series, with decentralization once again on the agenda.
What’s on the October agenda
According to the event listing, the October Poolside will cover protocol developments, validator operations, Lido Lend, and decentralization.
One headline item is the launch of the 0x02 CSM, a staking module tied to how Lido onboards and manages the validators that actually run its staking operations.
The other big topic is Lido Lend, a proposed decentralized lending marketplace built on a modified fork of Morpho Blue, an existing lending protocol. Lido Lend was proposed around October 7-8, 2026, and the team is targeting a Q4 2026 launch.
A busy October for Lido
On October 15, 2026, Lido enabled direct, one-transaction ETH staking from four Layer 2 networks: Arbitrum, Base, Linea, and Optimism.
As of mid-to-late October 2026, the protocol held approximately 8.4 to 9.7 million ETH in staked assets, representing roughly 19 to 21% of the liquid staking market.
Where Poolside came from
Poolside was previously known as Node Operator Community Calls. Recent editions include June 2026’s Poolside, which focused on “Decentralization,” and September 2026’s, which centered on “Institutional” themes. Recordings of past sessions are available for the community to watch. Although specific details about the October event, including the date and speaker lineup, remained sparse as of October 16, 2026.
What this means
For node operators, the 0x02 CSM launch directly affects how validators plug into Lido. For stakers and DeFi users, Lido Lend remains a proposal built on forked and modified code. For LDO governance token holders, product proposals like Lido Lend typically move through community discussion before going live, so sessions like Poolside offer an early look at what may eventually come up for a vote.
