Robin Roefs: 8/10
Another good performance by Roefs, was a spectator for most of it but made some decent stops and a great double stop shortly after the equaliser. No chance with the goal, that was rifled into the bottom corner through a crowd.
Nordi Mukiele: 7/10
Cruised through the game, not troubled defensively and got forward plenty. Picked out Diarra for a good chance then hit a shot into the side netting, could maybe have squared that one though.
Kevin Danso: 6/10
Was fine for most of the game but had a hiccup in the first half when he stumbled after closing down which allowed a player in on goal.
Luke O’Nien: 7/10
Was aggressive in winning the ball, getting us started in attack multiple times by closing down attackers quickly. Was OK defensively and forced a good save from the opposition goalkeeper with a flicked near post header.
Dayann Methalie: 7/10
Spent most of the game attacking, providing an option on the overlap, although his best attacking moment was late on when he drove into the box after a good run but the shot let him down. Got caught trying to be clever in the second half, trying a trick when he had been closed down.
Jules Ahoka: 8/10
I thought Ahoka was the best player on the pitch tonight, winning the ball repeatedly in the middle of the pitch and then using the ball well.
Granit Xhaka (C): 7/10
Came really close to scoring in the first half, forcing two saves either side of Fofana hitting the post. Lech Poznan couldn’t get close to him when he was on the ball but they did get passed him a little too easily in the opening 10-15 minutes.
Nilson Angulo: 7/10
Won the ball high up for the opening goal and then put a lovely cross onto Tutierov’s head and repeatedly caused the home side issues with his pressing. Played a nice first time effort for a Mukiele effort that went wide into the side netting and had some half opportunities himself.
Habib Diarra: 7/10
Aggressively pressed Poznan from the off and was always another option in the box when we went forward. Had a good chance when Mukiele picked him out in the box but skewed his shot well wide.
Malick Fofana: 7/10
An improved display from Fofana tonight, although not as good after the break. Came really close to scoring with an effort coming back off the post after he followed up Xhaka’s saved effort. Disappeared a bit in the second half and snatched at a Le Fee pass when well placed.
Timur Tutierov: 7/10
Had a good game up top, scoring with his only real chance, heading past the goalkeeper from Angulo’s cross but led the line decently too. Making runs in behind, setting up Rigg for an effort just before he went off and won a few headers from long balls.
Substitutes
Enzo Le Fee: 6/10
Got into good positions a couple of times, had to battle to get a shot off for the first one and then delayed far too long for the second when he had a clear shot available, then played Fofana in who was in a worse position.
Noah Sadiki: 6/10
Sat in front of the back four and rotated the ball well.
Chris Rigg: 6/10
Came within inches of scoring the winner, with a curling effort from Tutierov’s lay off just just over the angle.
Trai Hume: 6/10
Slotted in at right back and put a few crosses into the opposition box.
Reinildo: 6/10
Came on late as we searched for the winner.
Man of the Match: Jules Ahoka
A man of the match display from Ahoka, which is becoming a habit. Far too quick and strong for the home side, repeatedly muscled them off the ball, was good on the ball but doesn’t just look to sit in defensively, always getting forward to make himself an option.
