City & County sought a digital banking partner to support new technologies and offerings while providing a clear path for ongoing growth. “We wanted a true partner who understood where we were headed and could help us build toward that future,” said Brandon Burt, Director of Digital Services at City & County. “Mahalo stood out because of its tight connectivity with our core, future-ready technology and proven ability to understand both our immediate needs and long-term roadmap. The Mahalo team has been incredibly accessible, highly responsive, and genuinely invested in our success. They don’t just listen to our ideas; they value them and actively collaborate with us.”
Expanding its digital capabilities for business members was an important consideration for City & County, particularly as the credit union looks to provide more functionality and services to its business membership. “Mahalo’s platform checked all of the must-have capabilities we were looking for, particularly when it came to business banking and usability where they clearly have made significant investments in their business offering,” added Burt.
As City & County expands capabilities, security served as an important consideration. Mahalo’s strong offerings, including Credential Assurance Technology (CAT), aligned with the credit union’s focus on strengthening authentication and fraud prevention. “We wanted our members to have more ways to manage their money digitally with the highest level of protection,” Burt added. “Mahalo’s approach gives us confidence to explore functionality such as ACH and instant payments without compromising the safeguards our members expect.”
“We’re excited to support City & County’s vision for a future-ready digital banking experience,” said Denny Howell, COO of Mahalo. “The credit union is taking a thoughtful approach to digital transformation, with a clear focus on evolving alongside its members and their changing expectations. Our technology, strong core integration, and collaborative partnership will ensure City & County Credit Union achieves its modernization goals while providing a flexible foundation for continued innovation.”
