For many, the appeal of astrology lies in what it represents—an expression of identity. This sentiment is at the heart of the second chapter of Pandora Talisman, a collection of zodiac-inspired jewelry, which invites us to turn our gaze not only to the sky, but also inward. Designed to be layered, stacked and collected, the new pieces expand Pandora’s visual vocabulary with precious medallions dedicated to the constellations.

Each piece is ready to be added to bracelets and chain necklaces. And every creation is conceived as a contemporary talisman through which the wearer can find strength and protection. One such example is the sun and moon charm, engraved with the Latin phrase per aspera ad astra (through hardships to the stars), it serves as a potent reminder of the heights that can be reached with resilience. The same design also appears on one of Pandora’s new articulated flip rings—a novel way to add the unexpected to everyday dressing.
Crafted in sterling silver and 14-carat gold, the pieces are embellished with man-made mother-of-pearl and scattered constellations of stones, as well as sculpted cameos and Latin inscriptions. Inspiration comes from archaeological artifacts. Surfaces are hand-finished with pleasingly irregular textures and three-dimensional reliefs. They appear shaped by time and worn smooth by touch, like a precious charm handed down through generations.

The collection is brought to life through a celestial chart created exclusively for Harper’s Bazaar by artist Elisa Seitzinger, whose work draws influence from the iconography of tarot reading and mediaeval art. Along with the 12 signs of the zodiac, the Talisman collection also contains other emblems rich in meaning, such as the owl, which represents wisdom.
“We did not want to create a traditional zodiac collection,” explains Francesco Terzo and A. Filippo Ficarelli, the creative directors of Pandora. “Each medallion combines a figurative representation of the sign, its constellation and a composition reminiscent of a celestial map or the frescoes found in grand Renaissance chambers. Astrology, chakras, energy and planetary alignment intertwine within a symbolic universe, transforming each jewel into a talisman that is open to your personal interpretation.”
